You are looking in the wrong Library folder. You want the /Home/Library/ folder that is invisible.
This database is named 'Recent Addresses' and is located in the following directory, depending on the version of Outlook for Mac: Outlook 2016 for Mac: Users Library Group Containers UBF8T346G9.Office Outlook Outlook 15 Profiles Data Recent Addresses Outlook for Mac 2011.
Three Ways to Make the Home/Library Folder Visible
- Mar 16, 2018 OLK15message file are backend email files of Outlook 206 for Mac. Like OLM File it can also get corrupt. As per my knowledge, There is no way to recover it other than any third party software. Agree with Jerry Frey, there is no built-in option in Outlook 2016 for Mac to recover it.
- Apr 27, 2016 Outlook 2016: All data for this version of Outlook is in your user account at /Library/Group Containers/ in the folder named: UBF8T346G9.Office. Close Outlook 2016 and back up this file before proceeding. As in the 2011 instructions, look through the Inbox, Sent Items and Junk E-Mail folders. Highlight and delete anything you don't need.
A. This method will make the folder visible permanently. Open the Terminal application in the Utilities folder and paste the following at the command prompt:
chflags nohidden ~/Library
Press RETURN.
B. Click on the Desktop, press the Option (⌥) key, select Library from the Finder's Go menu.
C. Select Go To Folder from the Finder's Go menu. Paste the following in the path field:
~/Library
Library Group Containers Outlook 365
Click on the Go button.
