People are now raid logging, even the most hardcore player I know are raid logging … This game feel dead, and I doubt It will recover at any point because there’s no incentive to come back. There’s literally nothing that will change from T4 to Sunwell. The game will be like that for 2 years untill WOTLK.
So, why people are not logging in TBC and play other game like League Of Legends, New World, or FF14 ?
Because there’s nothing valuable for you to login.
It increases damage by like 720 right, so you get like 1200 BASE aimed shot, and not including RAP and crit. PvE in TBC is about your raid leader decision (who is gonna get a Bloodlust, which buffs you have in your group). You can’t perform if your raid leader don’t want you to perform. This is the worst system I ever saw in 15 years. Even a higher skilled player can perform worst than an average joe. So why bothering to min-max your character if after all, you can’t play the game properly ? Why bothering to min-max your character when half of your raid doesn’t really care and don’t use consumables ? You know the point.
If you take a look at Warcraftlogs in TBC, you can clearly see the big pictures, everyone is feed by buffs. Buffs in TBC are now the new World Buffs from Vanilla. Except that in Vanilla, everyone can get them … in TBC this is not the case. It make the PvE way less competitive, sadly.
So after that, when you realize the uncompetitive mindset this PvE is and when you are bored of yelling at your raid leader, you start to look at PvP.
PvP, the fiasco of 2 week prepatch, then the Horde queue time, and the unhuman honor farm. Now even with 300 Resilience, people start to realize this is not a gear issue, this is a game issue. I got shred by a Feral for 2k5 damage with 300 Resi (25% of my HP pool in 1 GCD), and I can’t count the amount of Warrior that just tunnelvision healer and got 1k8 rating just by doing meaningless thing.
Every player play with a mix of PvE and PvP gear because the PvP gear is so crap. What the point of a PvP gear that is worst than Naxxramas gear in term of stats outside of Resilience ? And even with a full resilience set, you die in the first Kidney shot of a Rogue Mage.
Everyone and their mother play Rogue Mage as Double Eng with a 4K absorption belt, and 3vs3 is a meme with all the tunnelvision cleave comp.
So after all, people realize how bad is TBC, and they just don’t login, especially when other form of “game” are 100% dead : World PvP doesn’t exist anymore due to flying mount, farming is meaningless anymore, and Battleground are unfun due to TBC (to many dash/escape, to many nerf on Eng items in Battleground, flag carrying in WSG is no fun anymore cf. Stormx).
“Sure, it was expected” - Yes, it was expected, but rose tinted glass strike again. Instead of making a focus on what was wrong in TBC, and fix it, people was full-on Leatherworking fighting for non-sensical detail. Enjoy your crap now and enjoy your meta .

Actually, my Rogue's an engineer, so he can... :PBut as to the actual ability, no it will not save you. You will die, splattered among the hundreds of other corpses at the base of the lift.

Is it just my imagination, or do we lose the benefit of this if we are in a vehicle driven by somebody else (for instance the side car of a motorcycle)? In my experience seems that taking damage or not depends on the driver (so if somebody is riding with me, they don't take damage either).I always have the glyph, so the extra distance gets significant.

Note: This does not reduce the amount of damage taken, only increases the height before you take damage.Example; falling from 20 yards does 50 damage, while falling from 40 yards does 200 damage.
This glyph prevents you from taking damage until you've fallen 20 yards, negating that first 50 damage. However, you will still take the full 200 damage if you fall 40 yards.
Although, this is just from what I've seen; it may be completely wrong and, knowing my knowledge, likely is.
Ps, when it says 'Example' it means example, it does not, in any way, reflect what would happen in the game unless I was lucky and just happened to choose the right numbers.

it is ridiculous how much this skill conditions your mind against fall damage when you log onto other classes. Specially someone like me who's a career rogue since vanilla.Its not quite like jumping off a cliff to realize you're not on your druid for flight form but theres something to be said about jumping off cliffs to die from the fall (or take like 90% health damage) and realize you're not on your rogue. (same for pally's and divine shield, priests and levitate, mages and slowfall, hunters and disengage, and a rare example, engineers and their slow fall devices)
I log onto my shaman and its like 'how did i get hurt by falling that short distance?' 'i just jumped down along the stairs how does that hurt?' 'i cant take the cliff short cut to darkmoon faire?'
it also gives you an appreciation for this ability

I know this is the wrong page, but I was hoping I could at least find a link to the right one in the comments here, given that the 'right page' doesn't seem to exist... I really wish I could find some information about the new WoD passive 'Safe Fall' that is granted in Draenor by having a Level 2 Garrison. Whatever they named this spell, if that is even how this kind of thing works, they didn't name it Safe Fall.Searching Google to find out exactly what this passive does is basically pointless because you just get flooded with message board posts about it not working shortly after launch, but I'd really like to know exactly what this passive does, if anybody has any useful links. I figure it isn't inappropriate to ask here, given that it is the only 'Safe Fall' page on the site, and others will come here curious about the same thing.
I have noticed that this passive does seem to reduce fall damage by a decent amount, I can jump down cliffs in Draenor and survive falls that would have killed me before I built my Level 2 ... but it doesn't make it so you will always survive a fall, as I just died to fall damage when I fell from very high up (using a rocket from the goblin engineer).
Does anybody have any links to a page explaining exactly how this works, or has anybody tested it enough that they can explain?
